Auto-grade, Instant-feedback, Instant Feedback Convert Fractions to Decimal Math Problems

To convert a fraction to a decimal, follow these steps:

Divide the numerator (top part) by the denominator (bottom part) using long division or a calculator.

Write the division result as a decimal, placing the decimal point to the right of the division symbol and counting the number of digits to the right of the decimal point.

Repeat the division until you either get a repeating pattern of digits or the division terminates with a finite decimal.

Example:

Converting the fraction ¾ to a decimal:

3 ÷ 4 = 0.75

So, ¾ can be written as 0.75 in decimal form.

Note: If you have a calculator, you can easily convert a fraction to a decimal by dividing the numerator by the denominator. Simply enter the fraction into the calculator, and press the division button
