Egg Mixture (250 grams total)
- 1 whole egg
- ~240 mL of water
- Zero a scale with a measuring cup
- Add egg to a measuring cup
- Add water until it reaches 250 grams
- Mix well
Butter Milk ( 3 Tablespoon)
- 2 Tablespoon milk
- 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice
- Add 2 Tablespoon milk to a cup
- Add 1 Tablespoon Lime Juice (Vinegar) to milk
- Mix well
Make the Dough
Ingredients
- 450 grams all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 teaspoon instant dry yeast
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- Zero a scale with a mixing bowl
- Add and measure 450 grams of flour
- Add all other dry ingredients to a mixer’s bowl
- Add oil, egg mixture, and buttermilk
- Mix with a spatula
- Knead at low speed for 15 minutes
- Grease bowl and
- Roll the dough into a ball, place it in a bowl, and cover with a towel, and proof for 30 minutes
- Divide into 6 pieces
- Roll each piece into a baguette and play on a baguette tray
- Proof with two cups of boiling water for 1 hour in an oven.
- Remove and re-heat oven to 460 F
- On the bottom rack, place a baking tray and add 200 mL of boiling water
- Slice the dough and bake for 15-18 minutes until golden brown
- Brush with garlic butter
